Breast cancer research is critically important because it leads to earlier detection, improved treatments, and ultimately, the possibility of saving countless lives worldwide. Breast cancer affects millions of people each year, not just patients but also their families and communities, creating profound emotional and financial impacts. For me, it is deeply personal. My mom lost her sister in 2014 due to breast cancer. My grandmother and aunt on my dads side are currently in remission.
